BACP Registered Psychotherapist
Regain your internal compass. I provide integrative psychotherapy in Norwich and NR10, helping you move beyond years of conditioning and toward lasting, meaningful change.
I believe that challenges like anxiety, depression, or grief are often symptoms of deeper systems that have lost their balance. My work is centered on a powerful belief: you possess an innate pull toward psychological and spiritual health. Together, we can create a space where your authentic "Self" can emerge, helping you move beyond years of conditioning and regain your sense of sovereignty. It's about finding your way back to who you truly are, with clarity and purpose.
Drawing from evidence-based methods to support the whole person
Understanding how early relationships shape current patterns. We explore what's being protected and why, creating space for new relational experiences.
Your body holds the story. I track what's happening in your breath, your gaze, your impulse to withdraw — and help you stay present with what emerges.
I work gently with the different parts of us — the guilt-driven voice, the protective silence, the grieving heart. These aren't broken; they're survival strategies. This approach is influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS), which I draw on lightly alongside other ways of working — meeting each part with compassion and curiosity rather than judgment.
My practice is grounded in relational depth and authentic presence. I don't rush to fix or interpret — instead, I stay curious about what's happening between us. I actively name power dynamics, explore how difference and identity shape our work together, and use my own reflective awareness to keep the relationship honest and grounded. I've learned that rupture and repair are not failures but essential to deepening trust.
I work with empathic reflection, somatic grounding, creative imagination, and the therapeutic relationship itself. I use silence as an active intervention — not rushing to fill space, but recognizing those quiet moments as times when something profound is integrating. We meet your protective parts — gently and with curiosity — with compassion rather than judgment, which often reduces shame and opens space for emotional truth.
My background in producing and directing factual television taught me the profound value of listening deeply and helping people tell their stories—skills that are now at the heart of my therapeutic work. I understand that it requires immense courage to facilitate the deep self-understanding that is at the core of this transformative process.
I provide integrative psychotherapy in Norwich and NR10, drawing from attachment-informed, humanistic, and psychodynamic methods, alongside parts-based and somatic work. We are all made up of a multitude of often conflicting parts; I help you reconcile these splits, bringing unconscious driving forces into the light of recognition so you can move forward with clarity and wholeness.
Experience Across the Lifespan: In addition to my work with adults, I have a particular interest in the transitions of adolescence and young adulthood. Alongside my private practice, I work as a wellbeing practitioner at a boarding school (ages 11-18). This dual experience allows me to work effectively with clients of all ages, helping them navigate the unique patterns and pressures of their specific stage in life.
If you're withdrawing from relationships, struggling to express emotion, or caught between who you are and who you feel you should be, we can work with that together.

I'm a Norwich-based integrative psychotherapist with a broad clinical background. After completing a foundation in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre, I trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education.
Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years working in factual television production. That background taught me the value of listening deeply and helping people tell their stories—skills I now bring to my therapeutic work.
"Working with David has been a genuinely transformative experience. His support and guidance have played a huge role in helping me regain my confidence and rediscover myself."

Taking the first step into therapy can feel vulnerable. The initial session is an opportunity to share what brings you and to see whether my way of working resonates with you. We will discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and begin to identify themes we might explore together.
Sessions are typically weekly at the same day and time each week. I see clients in person in Norwich (NR2) and Horsford (NR10) and also offer online counselling across the UK. This flexibility means you can access therapy wherever you feel most comfortable.
If you'd like to arrange an introductory session or ask a question about how I work, please feel free to reach out. A brief conversation is often enough to decide whether working together feels right.
